Many, many years ago, this quiet island was bought by a rich scientist named Bill Hunter. Dr. Hunter had always favored animal experiments, and began to use the island for a little experiment of his own. He hired a small yet very intelligent and experienced set of scientist to set up a compound on the island, along with roughly two hundred dogs. There were twenty different breeds, and ten dogs to a single breed. It was then that Project KX began.
Dr. Hunter and his crew researched for many months, injecting different serums into the dogs in hopes of creating a new evolution of canines. These dogs would be extremely powerful and intelligent; bred to perfection. But so far, what they had been creating was far from perfect. The test subjects became sick, including the pregnant ones who gave birth disoriented, dead puppies. But as the months turned to a year, Dr. Hunter knew he was getting closer and closer.
Finally, there was a breakthrough. A set of shepherd pups were born, their mother and father injected with the newest serum. These puppies were not only alive, but quite healthy and five times stronger. But, even as young as they were, along with their new attributes came an extremely foul temper. A few months later, there were over a hundred different litters who carried the serum now known as 'KX' in their bloodstream, as well as their parents.
But very soon, everything fell into chaos. The dogs took on all the qualities of carrying rabies. They became insane, savage and bloodthirsty killers, their fangs turned toward the humans. Dr. Hunter thought it was some form of rabies, and knew that all the dogs had to be put down before someone was killed. But these dogs were stronger and smarter than ever, and soon the scientists found themselves clinging to survival by a tiny thread. They quickly realized that it wasn't rabies that was driving the dogs mad, for most would be dead by now. It was the KX printed into their DNA. The DNA that would be past on generation to generation.
In the end, the dogs broke into the humans last shelter, and ripped them all to pieces; devouring their flesh and drenching themselves in blood...the blood of their creators. They escaped the compound and spread into the vast evergreen forests of the island. Not long after, they began forming into two packs, setting boundaries and establishing territories and ranks within the packs.
Now, if you are out sailing somewhere in the great ocean, beware of Hunter's Island, for any humans who stray upon it every now and again are never heard of again. And if you do find yourself stranded on this island of terror, listen for the mighty howls, the fierce growls, and the savage barks of the KX dogs, for they are on the hunt, and they will find you, and you will see the nightmare that had once been the dream of an old scientist first hand.

Ocean Caves If you go along the beach, you will find a small cove. You'll have to climb on the rocks on the sides or swim if you want to get to the little beach on the front of the cove. Once you get there, climb up the slope, and you will find yourself looking into the mouth of a narrrow cave entrance. If you dare to go inside, you will find it quickly opens up into a huge cavern full of littler caves within the walls that act as dens. You will see splotches of sunlight here and there from the holes in the cave walls, as well as stalactites. It may seem to you like a cave from mythology. This is the main dens of the Red Crow Pack. The mothers nurse their young in the larger caves while the rest of the pack sleep in the smaller caves in the walls. Fresh meat is often brought here to be eaten. Now, its getting dark and you had better leave before the Red Crow dogs get back, for they do not take kindly to strangers. Moderator: .Tayla.

Red Crow Beach A long sandy beach makes up part of Red Crow's territory. As you go further up the beach, boulders are scattered everywhere and if you go a bit further, you come to the forest's edge. If you go down the beach to the west, you will find a cove that leads to the cave dens. When you go down the beach, you'll find a lot of shells, sand-dollars, and even some crabs or strange, washed-up human objects that had been lost at sea. Its very beautiful here but can get very windy at times. Dogs must remember not to go out to far, for the waves can be fierce. Prey: Birds, crabs, fish Moderator: .Tayla.

The Jetty A large jetty of boulders can be found on the Red Crow beach. This is a large path of boulders that goes out into the see for about 300 feet, then stops. Its like a dock, only made up large rocks. Its a great few, but be careful when you are out here...the waves can be fierce and the rocks sharp and rough. You may also find a lot of starfish, which for some are quite interesting creatures. Prey: Birds, crabs Moderator: .Tayla.
Bat Cave Up the beach a ways to the east among many huge rocks and pine trees, there is a small cave entrance. Inside is a dark, dripping cave where many bats make their home. It may be a bit creepy, but it is very secretive and useful. Puddles of ice-cold water spread across the floor here and there, but beware if you wish to drink it. Pine Woods Beyond the Red Crow Beach spreads a vast wood mostly made up of pine trees, but with some spruce and hemlock as well. The ground is mainly covered in ferns, soft grass, and dirt. At night and in the mornings, the forest is very misty, making it a bit creepy for some. Prey: Deer, rabbits, mice, birds Moderator: .Tayla.
Fields Somewhere to the east of Red Crow territory, near the end of the island, is a small stretch of rolling fields. The grass is long, and trees and blackberry briars are scattered here and there. Its a great place to hunt. Prey: Deer, rabbits, birds, rodents Moderator: .Tayla.
Forest Hollow If you find yourself lost in a forest of western hemlock and douglas fir, keep going deeper and soon you'll find a large hollow thickly surrounded by tall mossy evergreen trees, some of them hollowed out, with small boulder piles here and there. Wildflowers sprout out of the grond everywhere along with bushes and brambles. This is quite a beautiful, magically place, but then you trip and look down to see a large white bone that looks as if it has been chewed on by several different canines. This is the hollow where the Black Hawk Pack makes their dens. The mothers nurse their pups in the boulders while the other dogs in the pack sleep in the hollowed out trees and bushes. Fresh meat is often brought into the center of the hollow for the pack to share. You suddenly hear a long, bone chilling howl. You might as well start running, and give them a good chase, but of course your fait is sealed for you have wandered into the dens of Black Hawk. Moderator: .Tayla.

Black Hawk Forest Making up almost all of Black Hawk territory is a vast, lush evergreen forest. It is mainly made up of spurce and hemlock, with some douglas fir and a bit of pine. The forest is very beautiful, but at night can also be very haunting. Many of the trees are so old one can barely see the tops of them. The ground is covered in lichen and mosses, with some briar bushes, ferns, and boulders scattered across the woodland floor. Mushrooms and especially wildflowers can be found almost wherever you look, especially in the spring time. Prey: Deer, rabbits, birds, mice Moderator: .Tayla.
Wildflower Meadow Somewhere within the Black Hawk Forest opens up an enchanting meadow filled with hundreds of wildflowers. Deer and rabbits can often be found around here. There seems to always be a soft breeze and the sweet scent of the flowers. The meadow becomes very misty at night and in the mornings, though. Prey: Deer, rabbits, mice, birds Moderator: .Tayla.

Small Shore To the far west of the island, in Black Hawk territory, the forest begins to come to an edge and a small sandy beach stretches a little ways along the shoreline. Either side of the shore is stopped by rocks and forest. On the shore you will find many seashells and sand dollars, and perhaps a crab or two. And even though its calmer over here than it is on the beach...its deeper and just as dangerous. Prey: Birds, crabs, fish Moderator: .Tayla.

Cliffs This marks the northern end of the island. Instead of a beach like the Red Crow have, it ends in a breath-taking drop straight to the ocean below. If you fall off the edge, you are done for. Its very rocky around here and extremely dangerous. If you go back a little ways away from the edge, you'll find the forest line and will be back in the Black Hawk Forest. Its a very nice few around here, but get to close and you could meet a very cold and crashing end. Prey: Birds, lizards Moderator: .Tayla.
Orchard To the east of Black Hawk territory grows an old, abandoned orchard. Strange trees that are found no where else on the island can be found here, many carrying juicy fruit that even some dogs find tasty. The orchard was first put here by the humans, but it has long-since been unkept, and the trees and shrubs grow wild. Prey: Deer, rabbits, birds, rodents, also fruit Moderator: .Tayla.

Neutral Lands
Abandoned Compound This is the place where it all began. Dr. Hunter set the compound in the center of the island, and it now marks the boundry between the two pack's territories. The compound is an area enclosed by a tall barbwire fence with several small buildings inside, as well as many kennals. Yearlings and younger deltas think this place is haunted, and often challenge each other to go inside as a test of their bravery. Moderator: .Tayla.
Abandoned Cabin This is a large cabin located along the border line between the two pack territories. It is right next to a small bay with a dock. This used to be where Dr. Hunter lived, but now it lay in ruins. There is nothing much here but a bunch of old human things, which many of the dogs find quite fasinating. Next to the cabin is an old barn. Few come here, but when they do, there are often battles. Moderator: .Tayla.
Death Rocks Death Rocks is one of, if not the most, dangerous places on the island. It lies between the two pack territories, owned by neither one, on the western borders. The Death Rocks is basically a small, yet rugged mountain area. Rocks and boulders, as well as some trees and shrubs, make up the rising land. Few dare to go here. To the far west are dead-drop cliffs. What most dogs want to avoid, though, is in the highest parts of the rocks where a small yet thick forest can be found. Around here is bear country. Many of their caves can be found, but its rare to see a bear. There are only about two or three left, as they are slowly dying out as the packs become stronger and more threatening. They do not wander into pack territory, and keep to themselves. If you run into one alone, though, its probably certain death for you. Moderator: .Tayla.
